Isimeme “Easy” Otabor opened his new gallery, Anthony Gallery, 470 N. Milwaukee Ave. 60654 for its opening show UNITE THROUGH CULTURE. The show was in celebration and partnership with Jordan Brand, who introduced its new Retro Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ in anticipation of its release later this month. Through its partnership with Jordan Brand and Wings Program, special merchandise was created for the opening, with proceeds going to be donated to an arts & athletic program at Otabor’s high school, Hillcrest High School.
The first show, dedicated to Michael Jordan, featured artists Kosuke Kawamura, Corey Black, Matt McCormick, George Bayliss, ADE Makinde, Wu Yue, and Jacob Rochester featured works in mixed media as well as a Retro Air Jordan 11 Bred 2019 art installation.
